Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2021 Wiki – Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) is an Indian Twenty20 cricket league established by the Tamil Nadu State Cricket Association (TNCA) in August, 2016. The domestic cricket competition is modeled along the lines of the popular Indian Premier League (IPL). Tamil Nadu Premier League has start it’s maiden season on 24 August 2016. The fifth season of TNPL is going to start from 19 July 2021. There are 8 teams in Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL). All the 8 teams of TNPL 2021 representing the 8 different cities of Tamil Nadu. Only cricketers registered in Tamil Nadu are eligible for the competition. STAR India will be the broadcaster.
The inaugural edition of the TNPL will feature 8 teams, playing a total of 31 matches (28 league matches, two semi-finals and the final). Chennai, Dindigul (Natham) and Tirunelveli are the venues. Chennai will host the opening match as well as the semi-finals and the final.
But in 2021 due to covid 19 situation only one stadium has been chosen for the complete tournament. The venue is MA Chidambaram, Chennai.

Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2021 Prize Money
The tournament season 5 will be start from July 19th-August 15th. Tamil Nadu Premier League prize money is less than India Premier League. Here is the distribution of prize money of TNPL winners will get. The total prize money on offer is Rs 3.40 crore. The winners will take home Rs 1 crore while the runners-up will receive 60 lakh. The 3rd and 4th placed teams will receive 40 lakh each. Winner teams will also get a luxurious car with the trophy after the tournament.
Winner Team – Rs. 1 Crore
Runner up Team – Rs. 60 Lakhs
3rd Place Team – Rs. 40 Lakhs
4th Place Team – Rs. 40 Lakhs
